Fresh Science at the pub 2017
We’ve heard about smart bandages, the sawfish saw, printable solar cells, wallabies’ immune tricks, ocean arteries, backward planets and more.
Next year, come and hear what’s fresh in science for 2017.
Join us for a beer and hear leading early-career scientists reveal their discoveries in a pub, using rhyme, reason and the odd firework.
Bookings Entry is free to all the events, but booking is essential. We’ll give booking links when details are available.
Hear young scientists from across the country talk about their latest discoveries.
At these free, one-hour forums students will hear from a number of early-career scientists as they describe their latest discoveries across a range of fields from botany and zoology to biotechnology, physics, medicine and engineering.
The talks are aimed at year 9 and 10 students, but students from upper primary up to year 12 are welcome.
The Fresh Scientists are selected nominations across Australia each year to present their discoveries to the public.
Each scientist presents for five minutes and students have the chance to ask questions after each talk. We love the students’ questions!
School forums are free, but bookings are essential. We’ll give booking links when details are available.
